I only booked one night at Avana Retreat for my boyfriend's birthday, as he needed a relaxing getaway—and the hotel absolutely delivered. It’s a true haven of peace. I visited during the winter, and while the rice fields might not be as lush and green as in the summer, the stunning landscapes still took my breath away. Plus, the off-season meant fewer tourists, allowing us to fully recharge and enjoy the privacy and tranquility we were seeking. My boyfriend tried the Avana Waterfall massage, and although it’s a budget, he said it was the best massage of his life. The rooms are luxurious, and we loved spending the night there. If we had more time and a bigger budget, we would have stayed longer. I also attended the Rattan-weaving workshop, which I really enjoyed. It’s included in the reservation, and I really appreciated doing this activity. The staff were friendly and attentive, and they went above and beyond by preparing a birthday cake for my boyfriend. It’s those little touches that make a big difference. I highly recommend Avana Retreat—it’s perfect for anyone in need of relaxation, beautiful surroundings, and outstanding service.

It's a lovely place, clean, well maintained with a lovely pool. Amazing staff, great homemade tasty food, rich breakfast as well. We stayed there for 2 nights in deluxe rooms, facilities are excellent both indoor and outdoor. I strongly recommend this homestay.

Thank you so much for letting us stay at Hill House! The host was really friendly and gave us every morning and evening black tea and fresh Bananas. Our room was exactly what we expected and everything was new. The big window next to the bed was so cool and we were able to have the most stunning view every morning. It was truly magical.

A true homestay experience. The host family prepares delicious dinner (optional) and helped us with everything from renting bycicles, our bus pick up, and organised everything we needed. We enjoyed food an drinks with the host and loved the view on the rice fields from the terrace.

Hi!! We stayed 7 nights at Madame Hue’s Homestay and we had a great time. If you are looking for a rural, relax and authentic Vietnamese experience, you will be at the right place. We had coup nights with cultural dances. It is also very very pleasant to bike in the area. The rice fields are gorgeous and the neighborhood interesting to discover. I loved going from a community to another. It is a rural experience, remote from Mai Chau. You will need a 20 minutes scooter ride to go to Mai Chau but the road is very nice all the way. You can hire a scooter at the home stay same for the bicycles. The food is very good. The family is generous and helpful. The room was clean and the bed firm for those who likes. Don’t forget your ear plugs as the next door rooster is an early riser, as it should😉. The pool was not fonctionnel during our stay. If you have plenty of time and are adventurous, you can use a scooter to go to Pu Long on a day trip (it’s worth the trip), to the waterfalls or the hot springs. We loved our stay in this part of Beautiful Vietnam. 🇻🇳

This place is located in a beautiful place, I was with them for a week, and it was like staying with family. They took care of me as if I were part of their family, I picked chilli from the field, I went for a walk with grandpa and they took me to the waterfalls. Everything incredible. I will repeat for sure. Maybe the meals are a bit expensive.. But is worth it. Everything is delicious!!! :)

Our stay was simply terrific! A wonderful, super nice and helpful family, the food was among the very best we had, tasty, plenty. The place is very Cosy, comfortable and right in a little village. The room and facilities were comfortable, clean and very nice. The scenary is amazing, you get bikes and can just start exploring. Very good place with kids.
