Beautiful room with terrace overlooking the valley, big clean comfy beds and a lovely bathroom. No a/c but two good fans, no issues with being too hot overnight and slept really well. The meals were all excellent, the staff catered really well for us as vegetarians and made us two lovely evening meals and breakfasts. We have been travelling by motorbike and decided to rest for two nights at Hoang Su Phi so had a lovely relaxing day just walking around the village, having a swim in the pool and chilling out in the bungalow - perfect location for this!

A fantastic and memorable 3 nights, with an amazing team running the property who were so helpful. A big thank you to them! The location is superb- it’s remote; 10-12 kms from the main road, but the drive up the mountain pass is amazing. The rooms have speculator views across the valley. The food was great, especially the hot pot, which we had a couple of times. There are good places to walk/trek from the resort, and the locals are so hospitable. Hoang Su Phi is an hours drive, which has an amazingly colourful market on Sundays. The western side of Ha Giang is far quieter, more remote and less touristy than the eastern side, but this is likely to change once the roads are repaired.

We had a wonderful experience at Nam Ly. The place is incredibly beautiful, with many waterfalls, terraced rice fields and traditional wood houses. It’s totally off the beaten track so it takes some time to reach, but it’s totally worth it. The hosts are very welcoming and they will help you all the way: booking a bus or a motorbike, trekking in the rice fields, giving advices about the Hoang Su Phi area… honestly I doubt we could have come here without the help of Mr Dong.

Bikki's jungle homestay is situated in Ha Giang. This country house features free private parking and luggage storage space.

Staying at Bikki Jungle Homestay will allow a window into the lives of the Red Dzao Tribe of the Northern mountains of Vietnam. Bick and her family welcomed us with hospitality and kindness, showing us their unique way of life including cooking, tasting valuable teas, and swimming in waterfalls. We trekked through the jungle, ate delicious food, and learned some phrases in the specific dialect of Vietnamese. The location is unbelievable, the most beautiful place i have ever slept at. Amazing views. Very nice owners, made me dinner and a light breakfast. The stay is really authentic, all the animals roaming freely at the nearby field... just a wonderful place!!

Although the museum is small, it showcases many artifacts related to the culture and lifestyle of the Red Dao people. I got to hear stories about their history, customs, and even local legends. Not only that, but I also had the chance to try on traditional outfits and take photos. This is a very interesting and meaningful activity for anyone wanting to learn more about the local culture
