I personally felt at home immediately. Nice furniture, books, TV and even a Leonard Cohen record for the vinyl player in the lounge area :-) Being greeted with a loaf of fresh bread and a hand written notice from the owners was the icing on the cake. Really outstanding! On top of it all, the place is pet friendly and allowed us to take our dog along.

The room is so spacious and beautifully appointed as well as a gorgeous large balcony where we enjoyed a leisurely wine while watching the parrots come visit in the trees. The kitchenette with coffee, tea and breakfast provisions is very thoughtful, especially for those of us who don't take dairy- there were many non dairy milk options (something that is very rare in other hotels). As there are only 5 rooms in the hotel, it feels very private and luxe, and the location is at the end of the gorgeous town within easy walking distance to cafes and shops. We came across this hotel by accident last year and loved it so much that we decided to make a special visit to come back again this year. Little did we know that so many renovations were to occur in the year that managed to make the hotel even better. Staying here was the perfect end to a lovely holiday

Friendly and kind owners that took great care of us and made us feel very welcomed. The Well room was a beautiful place to stay, which was cosy and had everything that we needed. The breakfast provided was delicious and lasted over the two days. The property surroundings were stunning and we loved the look of the heritage buildings on site as well as the wonderful views. The location was amazing especially with morialta falls a short walk away, which we made a day trip of. The local restaurants recommended by the owners were also amazing. We will definitely be back here!

Everything was lovely. 2 ladies had the $150 half hour back massage/1/2 hour facial which was lovely. And a very nice touch of the tea and sit at the end. 10 out of 10 for that A must is an early morning view from the hill above the rooms ...bit of mist, stunning !! A beautiful place all in all. Thanks we will be back.

Good communication with the owners. The self contained flat contained everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The location was in a quiet street and we had complete privacy.

Birdwood Motel is located next to the National Motor Museum, and offers ideal access to a range of conservation and wildlife parks, as well as chocolate, cheese and wine destinations. Guests at the motel enjoy free WiFi and free parking. Birdwood Motel was a beautiful place to stay during our time driving around the Adelaide Hills. The room had everything we needed, was modern, clean and had a lovely country touch. We bought food at the supermarket across the road and had a relaxing night in enjoying the spa.
