First and foremost, I was received by the most welcoming and accomodating staff, Joanna and Remy (not sure if I spelled those correctly). I found them very helpful and so willing to make sure any requests or inquiries were take care of. I absolutely loved the space, the ambience, the comfort, the cleanliness, the calm and peace, the ease of access to and from property. The breakfast was stellar, everything was fresh and the variety and selection superb. I loved the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, so much so I went on a hunt through Ghent to find a retail store which sold the brand and scent.

The hotel has 38 rooms and suites that are decorated elegantly with antique furniture. They also feature high ceilings or sloped roofs. All rooms & suites offer views of the city, king-size beds, free WiFi, modern technology and luxury amenities. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The location in the downtown historical building is simply wonderful, offering a unique and charming atmosphere. The service provided was excellent, and I particularly enjoyed the distinctive character of the hotel. The breakfast and cocktail bar come highly recommended, contributing to an overall positive stay.

All units have a seating area. Some units include a dining area and/or terrace. A dishwasher and oven are also available, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. There is also a kitchen in some of the units, equipped with a microwave. Towels and bed linen are offered. Very comfy bed in a huge room, and Mathieu, the host, was super nice and helpful. Also, it was a very nice location, just a block from the tram to the city center. Would definitely recommend it!

Public transport stop Korenmarkt is a 5-minute walk. Grand Hotel Reylof is a 10-minute walk from both the House of Alijn and Saint Bavo's Cathedral. Hotel guests can make use of the paid on-site parking facilities. Valet parking is available for a surcharge. This was an amazing stay at a wonderful hotel. It actually felt like a 5* and not like a 4*. We travelled with 2 young children and upon arrival we were surprised with two soft bunnies, 2 golden ducks for the shower, an extra plastic bath, shower gel and shampoo for the kids, even 2 small bathrobes! We have been to many hotels with the kids and this was one of the best welcomes our kids ever received. I especially enjoyed the whats app Al assistant tool, it was extremely helpful and replied promptly. When it didnt have answers an employee of the hotel enter the discussion and replied. We hired a car and when asked they provided pricing both for the hotel parking and also for a nearby cheaper parking (2min walk - very convenient). The Olivier bistro - restaurant was lovely as well and offered tasty food. We booked the suite which was very comfortable and even had a big balcony. To walk to the room from the main building (1min walk) you go through a lovely garden. Highly recommended!!

Cleythil is located outside Maldegem, a 20-minute drive from historic Bruges and 30 minutes' drive from Ghent and the North Sea beach. The garden offers views of the Drongengoed forests and fields.

Hotel Cleythil has free parking facilities, meeting facilities and a bike rental service to explore the surrounding area. The North Sea beaches of the Belgian Coast are a 30-minute drive away. Great breakfast and very kind and helpful staff both in restaurant and at reception.

It is located 100 metres from the Gravensteen Castle and a 10-minute walk from Saint Bavo’s Cathedral. Efficient, helpful and amiable staff, excellent location and breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Ghent.

We had an absolute amazing time: The room was amazing, the location is perfect and the staff is super nice! We spent a couple of nights there on our honeymoon and if we get back again to Ghent, this hotel will be our go-to!
