The property is 80 metres from the city centre and 21 km from Giessbachfälle. Pretty much the ideal hostel experience. The rooms were nice, with comfortable mattresses, made bedding, and a sink and mirror in the room. A European and a Swiss style outlet at the bed, a good shelf, and an adjustable reading light. Tons of very nice common spaces, including a well-equipped and huge kitchen area. Breakfast was simple (bread, yogurt, cereal, coffee, and juice) but high quality including locally baked fresh bread. The shower rooms were large and had lots of hooks and dry space to put your things. The staff were friendly and accommodating and everything was always clean. The building itself is cool too.

A continental breakfast is available daily at the bed and breakfast. All I can say is that the host is above and beyond nice and professional. Did not get to stay in this hotel due to some overbooking issue, but the host accommodated us in a nearby hotel which was also really nice. So we were not left without a room and all was good. We carried on with a lovely and memorable vacation in Grindenwald. Thank you! I would have also liked to stay there, as the view is top, and rooms are big, but it all worked out in the end.

Free WiFi is available in all areas and Interlaken is a 5-minute drive away. I was very happy with my stay at Hotel Alpina. The owner Richard was very easygoing, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was perfect, good variety, they make eggs however way you want them. The room is a good size with a comfy bed. And for my room 201 the bathroom was renovated and very nicely done. I even got a partial view of the lake from my room. The attention to detail throughout the hotel made it so funky yet so cozy. I would definitely stay there again. There’s also a beautiful pathway from the hotel that takes you directly parallel to the lake and a little waterfall

The staff are very friendly and the food in the restaurant is of good quality and very delicious! In particular, the hotel raises two goats, which bring tremendous joy to my little child!

Ample counter space in the bathroom for all the toiletries. Breakfast was really good and they go the extra mile to include local cheese and bread. The staff was really friendly, they were very kind and were able to help us with an early check-in.
