Situated conveniently in Suzhou, Cendre Hotel (Lingering Garden and Tiger Hill) offers air-conditioned rooms, a fitness centre, free WiFi and a garden. The property is set 3.2 km from Hanshan Temple, 15 km from Jinji Lake and 32 km from Taihu Lake. The accommodation features a shared lounge, room service and organising tours for guests. This hotel’s hospitality is on another level and I was surprised. The room and hotel were clean and has beautiful modern design. You have access to free gym and laundry. Breakfast was delicious. The staffs were extremely friendly and helpful. The location is close to many great attractions. Walking from closet Huqiu station can take around 15mins so the closest station is far but there are some bus stops very close to hotel. Mr May was extremely helpful during my stay. He even took me to the bus stop and waited together to make sure I get on right bus to go to Suzhou railway station on my last day of stay. I was very lucky because my stay coincide with hotel’s free culture explore tour. It was a walking tour from Hotel to Xiyuan temple, Lingering garden, Shantang street and Ximinqiao market. The hotel staff even helped to get lunch ( famous vegetarian noodle & vegetarian bun at Xiyuan temple) and Suzhou’s famous snacks & drinks in Ximinqiao market. The hotel also gave free sourvenir (a hand-drawn bookmark from a famous artist) in Shantang street. I was able to understand more about Suzhou’s culture and history after the tour. All of the activities were free. It seems that the hotel also will prepare tours for other routes in the future too. I would definitely stay in this hotel again next time I come back to Suzhou and join another tour. Tip: if it’s a walking tour, make sure you have sunblock, bringing hat or umbrella since it can be quite sunny outside.

There are FamilyMart, seafood restaurant nearby (Baiyan), which you can choose seafood by yourself in 1st floor supermarket & bring to 3rd floor for processing (go to 3rd floor first to get ticket number).
