Lots of cats roaming the streets in the area (my girlfriend loves cats, so we had to stop every few meters so she could pet them...). Unfortunately, no real breakfast options nearby, but we found great ones in Kalambaka, around a 20 minute walk away.

Pair that with its fabulous location in Meteora, and I found myself staying almost a week in a place I had meant to be in for less than 48 hours. The facilities are exactly what I hope for whenever I visit a new hostel. The common area is comfortable and spacious with plenty of tables and seating, there's a well-equipped communal kitchen, and the dorm rooms are bright and airy with lockers (for no extra charge). And the beds have curtains!! The hostel is well situated for hiking the many trails in the area, and they also organize group walks up to the monasteries. Since there's so much to see in the area when exploring by foot, it's very easy to recommend staying here for a few days to see everything. Finally, the owner is a good-humored and friendly man. The second I walked in the door and sat down at the reception desk to check in, I felt totally welcomed. It's clear that he puts a lot of effort into running the hostel (I saw him cleaning, being friendly and chatting with guests, and working at the reception), and he also hand picks the volunteering staff, who were great as well. It all really shows!

The room was one of the best room I have stayed during my 1 month of travel. The room is new and modern, clean and tidy. They provide all necessities such as clean towels, shampoo, shower gel, toothbrush, toothpaste, slipper, hair dryer, iron and a safe to keep your valuable. The room was also really quiet at night. plus, you can just flag down the meteora bus shuttle right outside the hotel!

Unfortunately it was too cold to swim but the pool looked like it would be very inviting in warmer months! Excellent breakfast with delicious home made bakes. Great location with a short walk to restaurants, coffee shops and bars.
