Virtually a private beach. We had brilliant snorkeling. Would have stayed another 2 nights, but they were booked out. We had rental scooter so could go out and about and they hire one if needed. Wonderful small guesthouse with very private villas and view from every villa straight out to the ocean. Each with private balcony, and loungers on coastline for each villa. Also home to the beautiful Lulu dog. Highly recommend, lovely courtyard like eating and drinks area. Thank you Putra and Sharka

Santi is just so welcoming, helpful and present for her guests. She speaks not only fluently english, she even speaks perfect german. The bungalows are beautiful located directly at the water edge surrounded by a peaceful garden. Our bungalow was equipped with everything you need. Hammock on the balcony, towels, soap, water refills and even a water heater to make yourself a coffee on your balcony in the morning while watching the sunrise. The access to the water for snorkelling , the little village and a restaurant that is serving breakfast, lunch and dinner is just some metres away. Santi Garden has the perfect location and you find the peace your are looking for. Santi will help you to organise activities or transport. We really enjoyed our stay and would always come back! Beautiful location looking out across to Rubiah Island. The deck/lounge area was a lovely spot to spend time in, and great swimming and snorkelling right off the private pontoon. Quiet spot and a short stroll into the village for shops and restaurants. Lisa was extremely helpful and hospitable. I was very unwell when I arrived in Banda Aceh and she helped to arrange a driver to take us via a hospital, and made things so easy for us after a long journey. You'll feel well looked after here. Food is also great, Lisa's husband (sorry I forgot his name!) did very tasty BBQ fish - we ordered it twice! Lots of bungalow options in the area but glad we chose this one.

Aceh Heritage Village: Right when you walk in, you'll see two beautifully restored historic Acehnese houses featuring hand carved and painted decorations. This is totally unique on the island, and it's a must-see. Sometimes there are events there, so check with the resort to see about the schedule. The restaurant: The restaurant is stunning with an inviting porch that reveals the ocean and the lush landscape. The food is delightful with a mix of Indonesian and Western options. I am gluten free with a sensitive stomach. The restaurant always accommodates my dietary restrictions, and I always feel good after I eat there! If you will be staying awhile, you can even bring your own gluten free flour, and they will prepare something special for you. I love the ayam tangkap (an Acehnese specialty that you can't find many places on the island) and tom yum. The rooms: Every bungalow is done in the traditional Acehnese style with wooden carved decorations. My bungalow had a porch with a hammock which was the perfect place to relax while watching the ocean and listening to the sounds of nature. The bed was comfortable. The shower had hot water and it was easy to control the temperature, which cannot be said of many showers on the island. There was also a fridge and water dispenser in the room including hot water and china cups. The spa: I have had some of the best massages of my life at the spa here. My favorite is the Javanese. Masseuses are expertly trained and accommodating with any issues you may have. Friends of mine have had waxing done with excellent results. The beach: Great for lounging and a gentle swim.

However, this is just basic accommodation. no hot shower and no breakfast provided. The view, though, is priceless. Please consider staying here if you’re looking for peace and tranquility, but if you prefer luxury, opt for a 5-star hotel instead.

The room was really nice, very spacious and with a nice couch and coffee table where our family could sit and relax, the view from either bed or the couch was amazing with the ocean and the very well maintained and beautiful jungle flora in between. It was clean and honestly one of, if not the best place my family and I have ever stayed in South East Asia. Would recommend anyone to go here. Now I want to review the people who made this the best experience we've ever had hands down. The staff was so incredible pleasant and friendly to be around. We had the greatest days here and they made us feel like family. The guys and girls that worked in the restaurant and grounds all had an amazing way of making us feel at home. It was layed back but in a very polite and natural way. It seemed very clear to us that the people working there enjoyed what they were doing and also each others and the guests company. The manager Llya was so nice to be around and she made sure that we had the best possible stay ever. We can never really repay her for her outstanding service and friendly, inviting way of being. Thank you so much for everything Hawk's Nest we hope people will enjoy their stay at least half as much as we did, but really we know they will. Best regards from Denmark 🇩🇰
