Communal area and restaurant is a nice place to hang out in the evenings. Staff are friendly and helpful - and should you need help with planning amazing local guidance for tours/visits to funeral ceremonies and grave sites etc. with excellent knowledge, then ask for Rashid who can help you plan both guides and driver. We went out with Yohannes (guide) and Mingu (driver) and we had such a lovely few days with them; they went above and beyond to make sure we saw everything we wanted and more and were so knowledgeable in sharing information about the local traditions and culture. Highly educational and lovely!

So glad I chose this over some place inRantepao proper where I would have felt in the middle of a city. Here we were in the real spirit of Tana Toraja, w Tongan’s a stone’s throw away.
