We were able to organise transport to Lake Toba with them as well as having an amazing guide, Ipoh, to take us to the volcano and hot springs. Honestly do the volcano tour if you stay here! It’s so well organised, our guide was really well informed and so friendly and even brought tea for us to enjoy with the sunrise! The rooms are pristine, it is probably the cleanest room we have stayed in during our 8 months of travelling. It smells so clean and the beds are really comfortable! It’s a great location within walking distance of everything you would need while staying there. We loved our stay here and we were honestly sad to leave!

The accommodation provides evening entertainment and room service. Our stay at Rambai Tree lodges was magical. Tia was incredibly helpful and the people in general who work for Rambai and within Bukit Lawang are so so lovely. She helped sort us out with a guide to go and see the Oragutans and we managed to see 8 of them in one day. The guides are knowledgeable, interesting and passionate giving a wonderful overall experience. The food was exceptional and Tia is a phenomenal cook, always providing us with delicious fresh fruit afterwards. The location was exceptional, right on the edge of the National Park and with the roaring sound of the river outside, it was big, clean and comfortable. When we arrived we were greeted by Thomas Leaf monkeys on our porch, it was truly magical and I would recommend this place in a heart beat.

Virtually a private beach. We had brilliant snorkeling. Would have stayed another 2 nights, but they were booked out. We had rental scooter so could go out and about and they hire one if needed. Wonderful small guesthouse with very private villas and view from every villa straight out to the ocean. Each with private balcony, and loungers on coastline for each villa. Also home to the beautiful Lulu dog. Highly recommend, lovely courtyard like eating and drinks area. Thank you Putra and Sharka

Set 10 km from Siti Nurbaya Bridge and 47 km from Mount Talang, Mila Homestay features accommodation situated in Padang. There is free private parking and the property offers paid airport shuttle service. I cannot recommend this stay enough. Dila, the host, was exceptional and so kind hearted that it taught me so much during my short 3 days there. It is a nice quiet location, and you can tell that Dila has put her all into making sure the guests have an amazing time. She is always there to answer questions and do everything she can to make you comfortable. She cooks a delicious breakfast with her sister, and likes to take her guests around Padang and show them beautiful things like the clear blue river deep in the village. Stuff you would never find on your own. She even noticed I liked crystals and rocks and showed me a crystal shop I would not have been aware of. I will always cherish my stay here.

The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. the breakfast at the accommodation was tasty, you choose and the cook prepares it just me and hubby went on a 4 day jungle trek with 2 guides and it was fantastic we saw about 11 orangutans, thomas monkey the guides took care of us all day, we felt like kings when booking accommodation, write them a message that you are interested in the trek and that's it :)

Jhony is amazing host. We booked 3 days jungle track. Were lucky to see orangutans as well as other monkeys and animals. Would definitely recommend.

This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. The owner was super helpful and was eager to answer any questions through WhatsApp from the moment we booked. Getting a trek was super easy through him once we arrived and the trek was amazing. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and seemed to always be the first to spot an orangutan out of nowhere. Example: "I smell orangutan poo. Give me one second." Then runs off for two minutes and beckons us over pointing up at the tree to a mama and baby very early on. The bed in our room was amazing. Like a firm memory foam. Same for the pillow. For me, that is an ideal sleep. And the location was great. It was right in the middle of the village, so it was about the same distance left or right to the end of the strip. Can't beat the price.
