Private parking is available on site. Best hotel we stayed at on our trip to Japan. Apartments are big, have their own kitchen, laundry, big bathroom. Close to train station. 10 minute walk. Comfortable beds and super clean.

The food was exceptional. The onsen had various types of indoor and outdoor baths.

Less than 1 km from Takayama Station and 2.9 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village, the property features a bar and massage services. The property is allergy-free and is located 49 km from Gero Station. The location was fantastic. The rooms were clean, modern and minimalistic but very cozy and comfortable. The raised platform was helpful to organise luggage and warm clothes. Room was very clean. The free drinks in the lounge were a very nice touch as there’s not much to do in takayama in the evening. Restaurants close early so one has to have early dinner. So liked handing out in the lounge with drinks after a long day. Did not have the breakfast so can’t comment but the place is so well located that there are so many good options around. don’t understand why western people would order breakfast expecting western breakfast and then complain they didn’t like it

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. Please pay in cash or by card upon check-in. Guests under 12 years old are exempt from the lodging tax. A few minutes walking from the train station and others touristic places, the location it's so convenient. The common spaces have many Ghibli stuff as decoration, so at some point you feel like you are in a friend's home. Staff are so kind and helpful when we need anything. Bunks has curtains so we have privacy at the dormitory. There is free coffee for everyone! This is the second time I get to Takayama and I loved it as the first time and the accommodation was outstanding for me.

Our rooms are designed with traditional Japanese aesthetics, featuring tatami mat flooring throughout. For those who prefer a futon on tatami or a bed, we also offer Japanese-Western style rooms. The warm ambiance is further enhanced by local artists' paintings adorning the walls. The lodging was excellent with the ultimate Japanese experience. The room had every immensity possible and the bed was really comfortable. We would differently stay here again.

The hotel features hot-spring baths, a restaurant serving breakfast and free WiFi throughout the property. This ryokan is introduced in Michelin Green Guide Japan. It was exceptional! Staff is super friendly and the overall experience was amazing!! Rooms were perfect and we felt we were in a movie! We booked the private onsen and it was amazing!

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. All guest rooms are fitted with wooden furnishings, providing a perfect haven for relaxation. The property offers free pick-up shuttles from Hirayu Onsen bus stop, a 3-mintue ride away. This was my third stay now and it keeps impressing me. Tranquil building, polite staff, excellent food and extras like drinks and snacks during the day. It is very relaxing and quiet inside and you can soak in the outside and inside bath as much as you want (private and public). Thank you again for the spontaneous pick up from the bus station when it started pouring. Can recommend at least 2 nights including dinner and breakfast and take your time to get out of the busy cities.

We loved Ken and Yuki’s hospitality! They have a precious house in a privileged location with amazing facilities. They were keen to help with anything we needed and were proactive on helping us with our travel plans. The food is also something worth mentioning, they cook delicious meals with locally produced products.

Situated in Gujo, 46 km from Gero Station and 100 metres from Rensho-ji Temple, The　Nomad　Inn　Gujo features air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The property has river views and is 300 metres from Gujoshi Gujohistory Museum and 600 metres from Gujohachiman Kyuchosha Kinenkan. The property is non-smoking and is located 100 metres from Joinji Temple. There is nothing to dislike about the Nomad Inn. It’s a beautiful house with gorgeous views. The owner, Mr Masa is a very sweet person who was always happy to give suggestions and guide us. He helped us with our luggage and transportation as well, I can’t thank him enough. The house is close to attractions while being in a quiet area and also has all amenities you would need. I really wish I’d booked more time but will definitely be back
