The raised platform was helpful to organise luggage and warm clothes. Room was very clean. The free drinks in the lounge were a very nice touch as there’s not much to do in takayama in the evening. Restaurants close early so one has to have early dinner. So liked handing out in the lounge with drinks after a long day. Did not have the breakfast so can’t comment but the place is so well located that there are so many good options around. don’t understand why western people would order breakfast expecting western breakfast and then complain they didn’t like it

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. Please pay in cash or by card upon check-in. Guests under 12 years old are exempt from the lodging tax. Very big room - could fit all of us, don't have any idea why we booked 2 rooms, we could easily book just one, and sleep two on the beds and two on the tatami.

The dining experience both at the Kaiseki dinner and the Japanese breakfast each morning was incredible. We have never experienced anything like it before.

The property is very quiet and relaxing, staff is very detailed and accommodating, everyone is so helpful. Yukata were provided for us to use which is a plus experience . The property is just 5 mins from the station, old town is a few blocks away. We ordered the Japanese breakfast which was a great choice! The room is convenient , just the AC is not working as well.

Everything was perfect. The staff was very welcoming, and the room was very comfortable.

The staff was SO friendly, dinner and breakfast were amazing and the place itself was new and tidy. Our room also had insanely nice views to the mountains. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

The property is non-smoking and is located 100 metres from Joinji Temple. Right in the city center. It was a magical experience be so close to everything. Love to have the whole house for us. The owner welcomed us and helped us to go around.
