Super clean. Hostel of good design: showers, toilets, kitchen, coffee machine etc on ground floor while beds on upper levels, so very quiet for good sleep. Lots of common space to relax in. Staff helpful and informative responding with plenty eating and drinking options. Check in and out can be fully electronic, while staff in place during reasonable hours.

This was such a surprise. It’s very spacious and has the best water pressure I have ever experienced in my life. I hope that I will stay again for several nights when I return. It’s a great location and wonderful value especially if you can book a weekend. The home was spotless and the owner let us store luggage at his home after checkout so we could explore the island. Can’t recommend this enough. There is a great okonomiyaki restaurant next door and an Italian eatery down the street for dinner. Remember to bring cash because that’s what the owner requires up front for your stay.

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a seasonal outdoor pool. The property was perfect. It was quite remote which we enjoyed after coming from the business of the city. The room was immaculately clean and spacious and was well equipped with amenities and cooking equipment. The view from the room and the huge balcony was beyond stunning. Would highly recommend staying here, and already have to many people! Would definitely stay here again and wish we had been able to stay longer.

It is a lovely Japanese typical house, impeccably clean, every detail meticulously cared for with Super Helpful Hosts who picked us up at the port in a brand new huge luxury SUV and drove us around, drove us to the bicycle rental, drove us next day to the other port. The hosts made local dinner reservations for us at a hidden local gem Japanese restaurant called Ebisukamo just 3 blocks away from the house. Delicious local food. The house is well located in Honmura (a typical Japanese village) only 5 min walk from Honmura ferry port with unbelievably comfortable Western style beds & soft premium bedding. Not tatami mats - these are real Western beds with excellent comfort & lovely duvets. Heated well (we were there Dec 28 & 29 and were very warm). The large kitchen is sunny with large wooden table for 6+ to eat. The stove works well, medium-large refrigerator with small freezer. There is a good clothes washing machine in the bathroom and dryer in the bathroom. Our 3 adult kids slept in 3 fabulously comfortable twin beds in the back bedroom and the sliding doors closed between that bedroom and the living room where the hosts set up a large queen bed for my husband & I. There was a little sofa & coffee table next to our superbly comfortable queen bed. Absolutely excellent place to stay with hosts who go the extra mile for you and the perfectly well-maintained home they rent is extremely pleasant, sunny & comfortable, and interesting typical Japanese also. Highly recommend.

The check in with To was one the highlights of our month in Japan. We wanted to experience ‘living’ and not just a hotel and the property does that with such comfort and style
