We were well received and kindly upgraded to a huge, luxurious room; every comfort you can think of was there. The circulation from bedroom to onsen to swimming pool can be complex, but we were given an English language map that greatly helped. This was our second stay in Karatsu, and we'd love to come back and stay in Karatsu Seaside Hotel another time !

This guest house provides a shared lounge. I had a WONDERFUL stay at Keramiek Arita and Hanneke was the absolute nicest host ever. The guesthouse was so lovely, beautiful and full of charm and character, and I would come back to stay here in a heartbeat. I've traveled all over Japan and this was the best accommodation I've ever stayed in.

The highlight is of course the Keiseki dinner on first night and Saga Beef shabu shabu on second night. It is highly recommended for guest at this Ryokan to have at least one dinner meal during the stay.
