If you want to experience the local area but with comfort and unique site, go here! Also, I did a very cool hike around the area, with local guides.

I would definitely stay at Illala again on my next trip to Tsavo East National Park, which is just a 4-minute drive from Illala to the main gate.

The lodge is clean and you have everything you need.  Oh, and the food was always fresh and delicious during our stay! Highly recommended!  Asante sana!

The location between the Tsavo East and West NP is great and the story of the railway (old station, museum) interesting. The food was served as buffet (breakfast, dinner). The staff is very attentive and helpful. The lodge organised us on request a transfer from Voi and a game drive.
