The food was always delicious, the little girl was a clown to play with and both parents were smiling and generous people. We went on a 2 days trek with the owner and had an amazing time in the jungle, eating fresh caught fish and red ants, learning about local plant's uses and more generally about the Ratanakiri area and it's minorities. We will definitely be back sometime!

It was very much a family endeavor. Smey built the cabins himself. They were set in a lovely, clean, and well tended garden. Smey was always helpful in answering questions, suggesting restaurants etc. and we hired him for a day tour of some nearby villages, which was interesting. The Homestay is away from town, so we rented a scooter and that worked out perfectly but tuktuks are also available. All in all Tribal Homestay was a perfect place for us in Ban Lung and we felt lucky to have spent time there.

Our Hosts were so kind and welcoming, very helpful with arranging activities such as jungle trekking and giving general advise on what’s best to do in the area. Our lovely host also cooked a family style dinner every night which was absolutely delicious every time with generous portion sizes. Breakfast was also available which again was delicious. I couldn’t recommend this home stay more. Such a kind and good hearted family.

Navina is very helpful and honest, you can ask her for advice and she can help you to organise your trip in Ratanakiri!
