We were so relaxed watching the sunset cuddled up with a blanket. We were provided with the most incredible food - especially the fried trout and soup Judith prepared. Josue took us on a tour around Uros and also took my partner fishing!!! It was just so great. We didn’t want to leave. We also jumped in the lake which was beautiful and clear. A unique and special stay we will remember forever.

A terrace can be found at the lodge, along with a garden. It’s an extremely beautiful hotel, a very nice place to stay and enjoy lake Titicaca. The owner of this hotel and his family are very nice and helpful. Although it is chilly outside, they keep us comfortable inside. They also assist to arrange transportation for us.

There is so many places that don’t belong to real Uros anymore. Walter and his family are amazing hosts. He build the island with his dad. For us he took care of everything. Special food requests, pick up from the train station and also transfer to the airport. His transfer services have a really fair price. The boat pick up, and a tour on a traditional boat are included. The communication with Walter works really good. Ge also speaks some English. We had really hot water and were able to use the heater inside the room whenever we wanted. Everything is very clean and neat. With Walter and his family you will have one of the greatest experiences at the Uros community!

Our host Franco and his family were absolutely wonderful. The place was only for my family of 4. You get to be part of a local family but with all the comfort and luxury that they provide. The food(breakfast, lunch and dinner) and activities are included in the price and what a great food! Franco explained everything about the way of living of Los Uros. You can’t miss this opportunity if you ever at Peru stay in this place. Have visited and stayed in so many places around the world. This was the best one by far!

In our view a much nicer place to stay on the lake, much more in nature. Run by a lovely family that are so helpful.

Situated in Puno, Titicaca Aruntawi Lodge Peru offers accommodation with views of the lake, and breakfast included every day. The property is 7 km from the city centre, and right in front of Titicaca lake. The rooms had a beautiful view of the lake and nearby green mountain. The beds were comfortable with an outdoor deck day bed as well. The night was cold, but plenty of blankets kept us warm. The food was fresh and tasty and each family member contributed to our wonderful stay. Transportation was arranged by the host from our hostal by taxi to the port and then a boat took us for a short ride to the hotel within Uros Island.

The family that hosts has lived on Uros island for generations and were a great resource to learn about the culture and history of the islands. We were well fed with 3 big meals a day and plenty of drinking water. Cesar, the main host, was very aware of our needs and made us feel well taken care of. It felt like a true homestay experience - not luxurious but very authentic. Definitely a highlight of our trip!
