Thanks for picking me up and helping in every regard regarding things to do etc. I walked to town every day (with a stick for the dogs). It's very doable and a gentle grade going back. The location has wonderful views, however, it is a little distance from the CBD which is problem if you're traveling for work. For a holiday a more flexible work schedule - this would not apply. Located on the waterfront overlooking the Pacific Ocean & Florida Islands, the Coral Sea Villas are nestled in the heart of tropical landscape gardens with direct access to the ocean, and only 1.5 km from Honiara CBD, and 11.5 km from Henderson International Airport. The Coral Sea Resort is a unique blend of warm Solomon Islander hospitality and South Pacific sophistication. Everyone was very helpful, nice restaurant with great service and servers. If I return to Guadalcanal I will stay at this hotel again.

Guests enjoy nightly live entertainment, a fitness centre and an on-site café. I thoroughly enjoyed the novelty of this place. The rooms are terraced along a steep hillside, and serviced by a cable car. I stayed on the top level (4th). Ride the car up, and then walk back down the meandering paths, surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens. Great views of the town and ocean from private balcony. The rooms themselves are simple and budget - but overall the setting and location is perfect.
