There was a drying stand as well. Outside chairs and a table. Swimming pool was lovely and had a fish and turtle pond next to it. Good breakfast and the evening meals were great, cooked by a private chef. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Very peaceful surrounded by trees, the waterfall and working farm. Erikson, the owner/ manager, was very responsive and provided information on things to do/ see. Highly recommend staying here but suggest need a high wheel base vehicle due to roads in the area.

Roça Saudade Guest House is a recently renovated guest house in Trindade, where guests can make the most of its garden and bar. The crew is amazing. You can see they are genuinely friendly. It seems they really like their jobs and interacting with people from other countries. The hotel is much more beautiful than seems on the pictures. The garden is beautiful and in the room and veranda you feel the tropical forest very close.

The host was very nice, and her nephew Luis was very helpful and available. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We will come back.

Special thanks to Sara, who was our host at that time, and was very friendly and looked after our family very well. Prior to travelling we also had a lot of help and assistance from Joao, who answered all of our questions promptly, in a very kind and patient manner. Gente D'Aqui is well-located for visiting all the tourist highlights on the island of Sao Tome.
