The breakfast was good. And the staff is really nice ! Honestly, if you want to come to Mafia for diving and are on a budget, this is the best option !! And the dive shop is great. Totally recommend !

I enjoyed the big pool to relax after great dives and the beach is just a stone throw away. Also the dive center and its extremely helpful staff deserves 5 stars!

The hotel and staff were both excellent. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Pool was great and plenty of lounge chairs with sun and shade. Staff very friendly and helpful. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. Meremeta Lodge is a very beautiful place in the Western side of Utende. Wonderful rooms and a spectacular lobby/restaurant. The owner is almost always present and super friendly and supportive, as is the rest of the staff. Our room had an AC which was a blessing. Breakfast was self-service but super tasty. Generally, the food was really nice and varied. Well spiced. And super tasty desserts! It is possible to borrow bicycles to get around, which is super helpful as this place is not located directly at the beach. However, you get there really quickly by bike, and the upside to the location is that it is rather quiet.

We went out the first day with a highly rated local tour company and did not see any whale sharks which was unusual. The next day we decided to go out with Hassan, the manager at Maisara Mafia Beach Lodge. Hassan was determined and we did in fact see whale sharks!! Hassan took such good care of us. I was so happy to see the whale sharks but I was getting tired after a few swims so I was content to stay in the boat and let my family continue swimming. After resting a bit, Hassan jumped in to see if it was a good view for me. He came back to the boat and let me know it was a great view if I was up to swimming again. I jumped back in and had the very best time! I cannot say enough good things about Hassan and everyone at the Lodge. They are all so kind and helpful. I also highly recommend the massages at Maisara Mafia Beach Lodge. Thank you Hassan and everyone at the Lodge.

The pics don’t show just how lovely this hotel is…the gardens are beautiful, rooms are bright and spacious, huge bed, fridge etc all set around the pool & garden. Also ate lunch / dinner every day and the food is excellent / octopus in coconut sauce was a fave! and it’s a good varied menu so plenty of choice. WiFi and power both consistent, wifi reached the rooms, staff are great. Literally 3mins drive from airport…very good option if staying this side of the island. Highly recommended!
