I had a wonderful stay at OUTRIGGER Reef Waikiki Beach Resort. The location is perfect — right on the beach with easy access to everything in Waikiki. My room was clean, beautifully decorated, and had an amazing ocean view. The staff were warm and welcoming from the start. I especially appreciated the live Hawaiian music in the evenings and the relaxing atmosphere throughout the resort. The pool, beach bar, and on-site dining made it easy to enjoy every moment without leaving the property. It truly felt like a tropical getaway. I would definitely return.

Located in the heart of Waikiki, 2 minutes' walk to Waikiki Beach, Halepuna Waikiki is a luxury boutique hotel surrounded by shopping and dining. The property was designed by internationally acclaimed interior design firm, Champalimaud and features works of several Hawaiian artists in partnership with The Honolulu Museum of Art public art program. The location was amazing, literally a 2 min walk to Waikiki Beach. The rooms were spacious, light, beautiful, clean and comfortable. The added bonuses including water bottles and jandals, wine and ice-cream happy hour were lovely. The swimming pool and spa pool with bar facilities were awesome. All staff from the front desk to room attendants were friendly and professional. We appreciated that daughter's room was next door to ours as we had requested. We hired a rental car for 3 days and the parking was easily sorted with the hotel. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Outdoor seating allows guests to enjoy the fresh air. We chose this place for our first night on the Hawaiian Islands. It’s about a 20-30 minute drive from the airport. The popular restaurants are also within a 2-3 mile drive, so it’s a great location! The surrounding neighborhood is very quiet. The overall service and room were very thoughtful. The check-in process was simple and clear, with insect-repelling scents and sprays, a small nightlight in the bathroom, a guestbook by the door, and even face masks available! There’s also a steam iron and regular iron to choose from. We only realized after leaving that there was no TV, which fits perfectly with the bamboo and zen concept.

Set just 11 km from Kaloko-Honokohau National Historic Park, The Koi House with Pool offers accommodation in Kailua-Kona with access to an outdoor swimming pool, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Kealakekua Bay is 18 km away and Kealakekua Bay State Historical Park is 22 km from the homestay. The longer we stayed, the more we enjoyed it. They absolutely nailed the little details.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the hostel, and I must say that the experience was elevated to another level thanks to the incredible management by Marissa. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the hostel was not only well-maintained but also run by someone with a genuine passion for hospitality. She greeted me with a warm welcome and provided a thorough tour of the facilities, ensuring I felt comfortable and informed. She took the time to answer all my questions with great patience and always offered helpful tips on local attractions, transportation, and even hidden gems in the area. It was evident that they genuinely cares about the guests' experience and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels at home. The hostel itself is clean, safe, and has stargazing deck. It is also close to one of the most beautiful beach in big island.

Kilauea House is set in Volcano, 18 km from Kilauea, 45 km from Pana'Ewa Rainforest Zoo, as well as 49 km from University Of Hawaii, Hilo. This bed and breakfast offers free private parking, luggage storage space and free WiFi. Guests can access the bed and breakfast via private entrance. Perfectly located a short drive from the national park entrance. The hosts were lovely and gave us local tips (one of them is a ranger at the national park). The room was so carefully appointed and the breakfast was fantastic, with so much food and a great variety. The garden outside the room was lovely too.
