We loved staying at the quaint little ‘Ofenhaus’! It was everything we expected, based on the Booking.com description, and maybe even a bit better. :) The cleanliness was exemplary! I really am quite exacting concerning hygiene — and this place was literally spotless! The whole place smelt of fresh laundry when we walked in — it really doesn’t get any better than that! The water temperature and pressure in the shower are great! Since both my husband & I have long, luxurious hair, this is a crucial point for us. Many holidays have been ruined, alas, because of bad (cold, weak) showers — but not at the ‘Ofenhaus’! Everything works to perfection! The location is really quiet & calm, but the beautiful medieval town of Murten can be reached on foot (via a short walk of 1km). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely book the ‘Ofenhaus’ again if we happened to stay in the area in the future!

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel! The cleanliness of both the room and the bathroom was impeccable; everything felt fresh and well-maintained. What truly sets this hotel apart is its incredible location – being just steps away from the train station made getting around incredibly convenient. It's a nice hotel a bit outside of Murten in a very small village. The room was great and very quiet. There is also a 'kitchen area' with a fridge and a microwave. There was a mix up with our payment - probably because of a system issue - they responded quickly (we were able to reach someone from their team immediately - via the phone number provided in the 'reception area' - and were helped at once).

I had the pleasure of staying at Bad Murten See in the Deluxe Apartment, and I can honestly say it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had! The location is absolutely stunning, right by the beautiful lake, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Waking up to such scenic views was a true highlight of my stay. The Deluxe Apartment itself was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, with all the amenities I could possibly need for a comfortable stay. It really felt like a home away from home. The room was tastefully decorated and had a cozy, welcoming vibe. The staff was exceptional – friendly, attentive, and always eager to assist with any request. It’s clear that customer service is a top priority here, and they go above and beyond to ensure guests have a fantastic experience. The hotel offers plenty of areas to relax and unwind – whether it’s by the lake or in one of the many lounge areas. The entire environment is perfect for both relaxation and enjoying some quality time in a beautiful setting. I would definitely return to Bad Murten See on my next visit to the area! It exceeded all my expectations, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!
