We were so pleasantly surprised by these amazing cabins! The craftsmanship is astoundingly beautiful. We were also thrilled to learn that there is a delicious restaurant on site. We ate there twice and got take out once. Everything was super yummy!! I highly recommend the pitahaya agua fresca:) Karol was an amazing hostess and very easy to communicate with. This was a special Costa Rican experience that we will never forget!

YES, you must go there. Great place with lots of activities. Travis took us out in the nice old life boat 'Nicoya Queen'. Went to the prisoner island and Travis made the best lobster we've ever had. Thanks :) The breakfast is excellent. Nice traditional Tico breakfast or best: Travis' special egg benedict! Not to forget: You can also borrow canoes and go on a trip yourself. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. The kitchenette had everything we needed to make our own meals. The pool and grounds were very clean and the surroundings were peaceful and scenic. We were looking for a quiet place to recharge in between more busy stops and this place completely nailed it! Quiet (except for howler monkey wake-up call:-) which we loved) and restful! Tons of beautiful birds and incredible array of birdsong! Will definitely go back.

We stayed at the jungle tent for one night as we had arranged to do the Bioluminescence tour with Franco. The location is just perfect, it’s at the end of a long track and is surrounded by forest. The jungle tent was a really good size and it was a short walk to the showers and toilets. The wildlife around the tent was great, we saw a variety of birds, frogs, crabs and howler monkeys. We did the Bioluminescence tour in the evening which was excellent and a really good social with Franco, his assistant and another couple. Afterwards we returned and Franco and Wilma lit a fire for us and joined us for a drink. The reception we received was very warm and Franco and Wilma are lovely people and can’t do enough to help. In the morning we walked to the beach, the dogs joined us and showed us the way. This took around 20 minutes. The beach is wonderful, it’s large and empty. We saw red Macaw there. The visit felt very authentic and a bit of the touristy track which we enjoyed. I highly recommend it.

They’ve recently took over the business, still a lot of improvements to be done but they are working hard in an area there is not much tourism. Bioluminescent tours are GREAT, a must if u are in Costa Rica! Super friendly and welcoming family!
