Very pleasant welcome, excellent room, fabulous price. If you are travelling along the A7 it's an excellent place to stay a night (or two) - or, of course, if you have a reason to visit Bockenem. If like me, you have a dog, your mutt will be welcomed and the hotel is close to some excellent countryside walks. The hotel do not spring an additional charge for dogs - a really irritating practice elsewhere. As you arrive (in July 2025 at least) look out for 'Hotel Sauer', though it's the only hotel in Allensteiner Strasse so shouldn't be a problem

Easy to stop. Reception was very friendly and room was cool and clean. Breakfast is enough, on monday morning we got just baked and warm bread. Just perfect to take a break and go back on road.

We stayed for one night on our way through Germany. The place is in a very peaceful location and we slept well. Super clean apartment. Lovely touch with freshly picked wildflowers on the tables. We brought our own so no major issue, but it would have been great with some basic kitchen items, like coffee, tea, cooking oil and spices.

This place had a large, cute restaurant and patio. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was also large. The staff were super friendly and kind, and I really enjoyed the German breakfast. It made for a very good day. They have great beer on tap, which I enjoyed on the patio.
