We are an old couple of over 70 years old, and we are taking a long trip with 4 pieces of luggage. We are staying in the First Hotel Grand for 3 nights. We are so happy and lucky to meet smiling and helpful Matilde in the reception. She has tried her very best to show the First Hotel Grand’s first class of warm hospitality! Not only she kindly and thoughtfully helped us with the room, but also with the parking in the rain. She even kindly offered her help for our heavy luggage. Our special and sincere thanks go to Matilde and also to Stefania who has also warmly helped us for other things. Both of them really make us happy customers of the hotel. We also deeply appreciate Ms. Mette K.-Hafstrøm,Hotel and reception Manager for her very motivated and helpful reception, breakfast and housekeeping teams!

Excellent location for travellers, it is located close enough to the highway to reach it quickly but far enough so the environment is nice, safe and quiet. The room was ok, it isn't the most aesthetically pleasing room I have been to, but it has everything you need to sleep and take a shower which is what you need from a hotel. Everything was clean and comfortable, and there is plenty of space for parking. Breakfast was really nice with many sweet and savoury options and everything was really tasty and fresh.

The staff was very helpful: when we first arrived there was a strange, unpleasant odour in the room. Room was changed straight away. The building is just beautiful, close to the train station and the city centre. I'll definitely come back!

    Good sized, clean room. Great breakfast with good variety of choices. Huge parking lot. For dog owners: you can have your breakfast at the seating area outside the restaurant, there's a little area with grass and bushes outside the hotel for potty breaks and the staff is pretty pet friendly. (Fee: 200 DKK per night, per dog. August 2023)

    We enjoyed our stay in Odense. The Hotel is centrally located in a very impressive old building. The room was very quiet and had everything we needed. Our two dogs enjoyed the stay as well. The breakfast room is very impressive, and the selection was very comprehensive.

    beautiful old hotel, but with the right updates to maintain the atmosphere, but offer comfortable rooms. good beds, stunning breakfast and very centrally located in Odense. Dog friendly hotel, we mentioned it during the booking we were traveling with our dog, and in the room there was a pillow for our dog and 2 bowls for water and food. Around the corner are 2 parking garages, so parking near the accommodation is doable.
