this is a true gem of a guest house. it’s run by warm and conscientious owners who really understand how make the experience memorable. small touches go a long way, including the lovely communal spaces and gardens. the rooms are spotless and the location great. our family found this place a nice respite from a busy aswan.

A highlight of my 11-day trip through Egypt! After experiencing all kinds of accommodations—including a luxurious all-inclusive five-star resort in Hurghada—this was hands-down my favorite hotel and the one I absolutely have to recommend. The location is excellent, and thanks to the warm hospitality of the owner, I even got to enjoy a rare experience: swimming at a sandy beach on the Nile River. Yes, a beach on the Nile! Each day we enjoyed delicious local Egyptian food for breakfast and dinner, made with fresh vegetables. The owner would personally introduce the dishes and explain how to eat them, which made each meal feel special. And let’s not forget Cooper, the adorable dog who kept us company during our stay. The room was a bit small, but the staff were incredibly kind and made everything feel effortless. We had a 3:40 AM departure to visit Abu Simbel, and the staff were already up waiting for us—with a packed breakfast ready and even a boat to take us to the dock. Not once did anyone mention tips or extra charges. If you've traveled in Egypt, you know how exhausting it can be to constantly deal with price changes and repeated tipping. Here, everything felt honest and respectful—you tip if and when you feel like it. That level of trust and kindness made a big difference.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Dolty Kato Nubian House. Located at the very heart of the Nubian village, this hotel has exceeded my expectations by all metrics. The staff was very attentive to my needs (special shout-out to Ms. Somaya at the reception and Mr. Sameer the manager) and was reachable 7/24. If you want a tour to Abu Simbel, or an authentic massage, or a boat trip, they will arrange it for you in a few minutes. The view from the rooms are amazing, they are right on the Nile. To sip my morning coffee while watching the boats on the Nile was a great experience. The food they serve was also quite authentic (Nubian cuisine) and tasty. Overall, it was worth the every penny I spent there.

We loved our stay. Mr abu is a good man and did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Breakfast is also very nice. The stuffed omelette was really tasteful. The pick up and drop from the dock is a super manner to reach the place. Also the location is perfect for staying in aswan.

Everything was so beautiful, the rooms the whole compound, the views. Astonishing experience, waiting to come back. The food was one of the best I have ever tasted, the people were extremely nice and helpful. The rooms were extremely clean and the design very beautiful. The rooms were great; bathrooms were tiny but very clean. The guest house is located right beside the ferry. WiFi connectivity was excellent. Esraa was very friendly and eager to help; she would ask for our breakfast time and have it promptly ready by then. Would definitely recommend this clean gusethouse.

This place the BEST PLACE TO STAY in all egypt..Very very peacefull place near the Nile. The hotel, rooms, restaurant very clean and very comfy. The staff very friendly and helpful.     The host Tamer was very attentive & friendly. He arranged our Abu Simbel trip and airport transfer for very competitive prices. The guesthouse has a very cute terrace where you can chill & meet the other guests. Rooms are also good value for price. Note that the guesthouse is located in a village, so in order to get to downtown you need to walk to the ferry station (only 5 min walk), but it only costs 10 egp and takes 5 mins and was one of the most authentic parts of the experience.

    We really LOVED the location and the people! The hotel is host by amazing people that help you in all the ways possible! The place is really nice, colorful and comfortable. The restaurant has a vast variety of amazing food and is well served, prices are competitive and just. The administration helped us in every way: to arrive to the hotel, to book an amazing tour on the area, even to have a taxi for the airport.

    Everything from the location, staff, facilities, room was so lovely and memorable. It's like an oasis in the middle of the desert. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was huge. The garden outside and the dog Bobby added a special charm to the place. The highlight of the breakfast was the fig jam/morabba. Abdou/Abdulla, a delightful young man, took wonderful care of us!

    Everything was amazing, I loved the location as it is close to everywhere you can go to the Aswan center by a felucca (it’s faster and accessible all day along) … When you’re in Nuba live like the Nubians 😊 P.S. it was actually pet friendly, our cat enjoyed his time 😻

    The manager, Mustafa (and his family), has a great heart and is lovely to share some words with him. Very kind and trustable person, he helped us to arrange Abu Simbel transport and also the cruise between Aswan and Luxor at very competitive prices. Nevertheless, his dedication and respect towards his clients is a highlight. Thank you very much for treating us so well, and we hope your place keeps fully booked :)
