A fabulously restored farm stay with extensive grounds and outdoor pool. Quiet semi-rural location yet just a few minutes drive from a hypermarket and restaurants. We stayed in cottage No.9 which was much larger than we expected and very comfortable. There are some nice walking trails directly from the the bottom of the gardens which were perfect for walking our dog.

Very clean. It would help if the parking instruction stated explicitly that the space in front of the property was reserved for long stay clients. Off road parking on the opposite side of the road. However I noted broken car window glass on the pavement - so do not leave valuables visible. The laundry room was excellent. 2 very clean and large washing machines and a dryer - all free. You provide washing soap. There is a LIDL just around the corner - closed on Sunday, please note. Boulangerie across the roundabout, easy access to the Western bypass, fuel station opposite. Large park 1.5 km to the north. Dog friendly. City centre 2 km. lots of parking. 1 hour free. Owners readily available via messages through Booking.com

Hotel des Arts is a lovely new hotel in an excellent location in beautiful Angoulême. We had a large, well appointed room on the ground floor. The bed was spacious and very comfortable, the room was quiet and we slept very well. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. It was great to have an air conditioned room as the weather was extremely hot. The onsite parking is also an excellent feature

Quirky!! Old. One room above the other with a tiny winding stone staircase. First floor a great kitchen with a proper single fridge and freezer, a 4 ring gas cooker, kettle and toaster.1st floor a sitting room, flat screen tv and sofa bed. 2nd floor bedroom which was a king size bed and lovely big duvet all made up for us. Top floor big bathroom with decent shower , big airer for clothes, supply of loo roll, towels etc, iron and ironing board. Basics in the kitchen like jam, butter packs etc ( not milk). Felt lovely and personal. A good place in a nice part of town!

    Lovely and spacious, a very quiet loccation with beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was an option but we didn't choose it as we were leaving very early. The kitchen was modern and well equipped. Big shower which was much appreciated.It was nice being aboe to park at the back of our cottage.

    Me and my wife really enjoyed our stay at Domaine de Montboulard. The owner John was an incredible host, and was happy to accommodate our requests and special circumstances. The breakfast was delicious, and the facilities both historical and comfortable. Really well located within a very short drive from restaurants and shopping centres, as well as from Angouleme itself.

    Loved our 6 night stay. Marc, John, Emma & Tattiana were so lovely and accomodating. Great place for a relaxed escape. Lovely breakfast every morning. Great location, we went to Cognac, Bergerac for some electric scooters through the vineyards, pool days and lake days. We played played cards and games in the evening and had a wonderful family time. We will definitely be back.
