Fantastic food and a really nice and cosy pub. Animal lovers and a great place to spend the evening, even if you are not staying for the night. Wonderful landscaping and surroundings for an evening walk. As we left early, a breakfast was placed in front of our doors with everything in it one could wish for. Lovely.

A glorious English country pub about an hour away from Heathrow, and very close to Jane Austen’s house. The whole place is thoroughly lovely. You expect Mr Darcy to ride into the pub yard any minute. it suited us completely. The nearby walks are really good. Also, I can’t remember a place where Lisa and I were so warmly welcomed by the locals.

It is a very some park with only 6 cabins and very peaceful. Helen the owner was the most welcoming person I have ever met and she really made our stay feel even more special. She looked after our every need and more. We will be going back again soon as it was an exceptional time

    Dog friendly, great food and amazing staff. We arrived just as the kitchen was closing and the chef was happy to take a last minute order. The pub itself is lovely, beautiful setting and our dog enjoyed the treats too!

    Staff were amazing throughout stay. Friendly, helpful and polite. Meal in the evening was excellent quality in lovely dining room and good value for the quality of food. Very good location for dogs with village sports grounds opposite.

    Staff were fantastic (everyone very service-oriented and friendly), room was a good size and powerful shower with plenty of hot water (although tap was a bit difficult to regulate). Had dinner here too and that was also excellent - staff were great too. Thoroughly enjoyed our stop-over and will certainly stay here again. Excellent price/quality ratio. Very dog-friendly too.
