Frank was so kind and welcoming and went out of his way to make our arrival and departure as easy as possible. He gave great local tips and was available if we needed anything. It was nice to have such a personal touch from someone who knows and loves North Berwick and genuinely wants guests to have a wonderful stay. The location was fantastic, just a few steps from the beach, shops and restaurants, but also quiet and relaxed. North Berwick was a great discovery. We want to go back, and would love to stay at this property again!

I had the most splendid and unforgettable stay at The Marine in North Berwick, an experience that was elevated to sheer perfection by the exemplary team working there. Every member of staff demonstrated the utmost care and professionalism, from the attentive room attendant, whose meticulous efforts ensured comfort at every turn, to the exceptionally skilled masseuse, whose expertise was unparalleled. The hotel itself is a stunning sanctuary, and my time there was nothing short of enchanting. North Berwick’s charm only added to the magic, and I am already looking forward to returning to this beautiful haven.

    The location was was perfect for golfers and dogs and the staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant was very reasonably priced, as was the excellent house wine. There is a large private car park.

    We booked The Watchman very last minute, and we are so glad we did! The location was perfect, the staff were really friendly and helpful and the room was so comfy. They made our dog feel really welcome too, which is always a big bonus!

    Beautiful small hotel - an architectural gem designed by Lutyens with Gertrude Jekyll gardens. Wonderful location in the dunes of the East Lothian coast. Discreet and competent service. Quiet and comfortable single room. Very good food.

    Our wee room, Hawthorn, was in the beautiful dog friendly cottage and was well equipped and beautiful. The attention to detail was incredible - nespresso machine, bedtime snacks, checkout. gifts, food and high quality toiletries were all absolutely magic.

    Excellent location for both beach and local attractions. Very well equipped apartment with comfortable furnishings. Welcome pack was very welcome. No need to bring anything apart from clothes and yourselves. Easy on street parking. Pleasant garden area. Friendly neighbours. Pet friendly. Most housekeeping details very good.
