The best pub in the area. The food, the rooms and maybe the best is the friendly staff. I needed to get some extra work in and it was not a problem to make use of their hospitality for a bit longer. We keep on coming back.

I stayed longer than one night. The staff were very friendly, approachable and went the extra mile. A lovely, quintessential English pub/restaurant. The food was excellent and served hot - as it should be if it's meant to be hot. The rooms vary, I had two due to my extended stay. Both rooms were comfortable and the beds, very comfortable. The larger room was amazing with lots of space and character. High fives for manager Lizzie / Liz (?), James the chef, Cameron, Jess, Ellie, Mia, Zack, Rosy, Izzy, Chloe , Sheryl / Cheryl (?). Good team one and all. It's dog friendly too!

A really unusual, quirky place to stay in Marlborough and we loved it! A great deal of thought has been put into every detail. After 4 days of hiking the Ridgeway traditional and traditional English breakfasts, it was actually very refreshing to have fresh fruit bowls and morning oats etc. All in all, an awesome place to spend a couple of nights in Marlborough.

A friendly British pub with happy locals and great hospitality. I’m almost reluctant to state how good it was in case everyone will want to stay there in future and I won’t get a room next time I’m in Marlborough.

really friendly as soon as you arrived. we were cycling the King Alfred Way and had a long day in the saddle when we arrived, we were met in the car park, given cleaning and servicing equipment for our bikes and shown a secure garage. as soon as we had done that a pint was poured and we were given our room key, all within 15th a of arrival!! food was great, a fresh pizza that night and a hearty cooked breakfast in the morning. couldn’t have asked for more.

Ben was so kind and gives us a lot of information around that area that we wanted. We had a lovely countryside view from the windows of our room. Breakfast was gorgeous! We greatly enjoyed staying at Elderbrook House for three nights. visiting Avebury stone circle, Lacock Abbey and the market towns of Devizes and Marlborough. Thank you for your warm hospitality. Before booking I checked out the Locations own website which was informative and had a link to booking.com. it was pet friendly which was a bonus for us. The room was well appointed and very comfortable and the bar is very popular with the locals.

This was a lovely old place to stay on Marlborough High Street with plenty of original features. The staff were particularly welcoming, helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable with a goid range of tea, coffee and biscuits provided. The breakfast was excellent. I had the scrambled eggs and salmon and my husband had the full English breakfast. There were plenty of options to choose from. I would recommend and it seemed dog friendly too.

Very conveniently located in the centre of Marlborough and dog friendly. They provide a dog bed. We were in room 3, which was a bit cramped, but perfectly fine for 2 nights. Bathroom was spacious, comfortable and convenient, with towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner provided. They really made an effort with the breakfast in the room, considering it's non staffed, with overnight oats, fruit bowls, fresh milk, juice and water as well as some prepackaged cakes and a nespresso machine. Also very good breakfast options available in town.

We had a wonderful stay at the Inn with the well. Facilities, location and food were excellent but what made it very special were the owners Mike and Megan who were so friendly and helpful. I thoroughly recommend especially if you are walking the ridgeway. We particularly appreciated how dog friendly everything was.
