    Huge dog friendly room. Staff were fabulous and could not have been more helpful especially at breakfast . Breakfast was really good and freshly cooked to order. We really enjoyed our stay.

    Elegant Victorian mansion with touches of Scottish Hunting Lodge. (Stag’s heads on the walls and lots of tartan!) Huge room, clean, good facilities, comfy bed. Friendly staff. Very good dinner and breakfast. Dog-friendly (our dog even got a sausage for breakfast!) Pleasant grounds with walks down to the reservoir.

    Absolutely stunning grounds. Staff were amazing and so friendly. Pet friendly. £15 charge a dog, but we’re happy to accommodate us bringing 2. Took the dogs in the bar in the morning to get a drink with absolutely no issues. Unlike other reviews the rooms were perfectly fine, smelt clean and were clean. A little outdated decor but often are with these types of hotels as it’s a required taste. Quiet at night.

    It is a lovely well looked after building. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. We were there with friends and our dogs for a local competition. The grounds weren't large but there was enough space to exercise them and plenty of bins
