We had an unforgettable stay at this cottage right on the shore of the Zhinvali Reservoir. The location is simply stunning – you step outside, and you’re right by the water, surrounded by mountains and breathtaking views. Highly recommend! The place is located in a village that feels a bit like in the middle of nowhere, you are in the countryside, and there is a big yard in which to just sit and relax. Very close behind the property, there are big beautiful fields which you can take a walk in. When the host found out that one of us staying there had a birthday that day he arranged homemade traditional food to be made for us and we all had a celebration together and connected. As it is a bit higher above sea level it is cooler there in the summer than in other near parts near like Tbilisi or Kakheti, which is a positive. But for us even staying in the warmth of May it was a bit cool in the room during the night, as the door of the room opens up straight to outside, which for some might be something to consider.

Very nice place, good stop during the long trip of the road. The personal was very very nice, and the traditional Georgian food in the restaurant was delicious.

Our hosts were very friendly and happy to assist with anything that we needed. The indoor pool and sauna were also great as it gave us something extra to do when it was too cold to be outside. The family room upstairs was also great for our family. Food was also really nice!
