the location is amazing, the bungalows are located in the middle of the Tete Batu forrest. The staff is amazing, very sweet, they make the food in-house and make you feel part of the family. They bring you the food directly to the bungalow after ordering it through whatsapp. Very good local food at a very reasonable price.

Just everything. We loved every second here. Our room was spacious, well equipped and clean. The food that Andy prepared for us was always really really tasty, the breakfast aswell as lunch and dinner. It’s all fresh cooked and local. Talking about Andy - he was definitively the highlight of our stay. He was always friendly, funny and just the best host u can wish for. The tour we did with him was also really good, we gained much information about local life, plants, animals and the authentic Lombok living. He told us so much, was always there for a chat and just really, really nice to be around. The other members of the staff were also really nice! Also the area of Tetebatu was so lovely and beautiful. The local wildlife as gecko’s and some other little animals are part of the area, so u have to be prepared to see them around. Remember: they were here before you ;) We would definitely stay here again. That was one of our best experiences on our whole trip through Southeast Asia.

This place is great value for money. Big and clean room with good working wifi, there is even a safe in the room. Friendly and helpful owners. Great breakfast with several options included in the price. Good bathroom with hot shower. They also do nice tours with local people and activities included. Everything is just perfect. Tetebatu and surroundings are worth to be visited. I recommend this guesthouse!

Vanilla Cottage is surrounded by stunning nature. We did a tour organized by the host where we walked through beautiful rice terraces, visited waterfalls and the monkey forest. Hir and his wife are amazing hosts, the food is delicious and Hir is always up for a joke. They grow most of the fruit and veg in the garden and Hir explains everything. They were very welcoming and we felt right at home.
