It's a wonderful place to relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The staff is great, and the setting is super green. The vegetables are homegrown. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are delicious. I spent a week at the retreat and only left very rarely.

From the moment we arrived we received outstanding care from the on-site concierge. Nothing was too much trouble - from house cleaning to laundry and help with the local food delivery services. The apartment itself is spotless and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. AC in every room, kitchen with fridge, kettle and microwave and a water filter which meant that we did not have to buy bottled water. Beds were extremely comfortable and the roof terrace was a bonus extra space to hang out in the evenings. WiFi was excellent. The location was great. You could get a cab directly to the door and it is walking distance to Ballygunge train station, a local supermarket, Gariathat and many restaurants and coffee houses. Would highly recommend!

Nalanda Tulip is a comfortable homestay. This apartment has three separate rooms and a common living area, kitchen, and balcony. My room was clean, well appointed with attached bathroom. Hot water is available. AC worked properly. The Wi-Fi works seamlessly. The sockets were put at the right height. You can easily charge electronic devices. The Kalighat metro station is within 2 km, and city buses can be found at the Panchanan Tala bus stop within a short stroll.

Service was nice. This is a 3 star, but they provide exceptional service. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were spacious, and had most facilities for a short stay. They don't keep mini-bar by default, thus one can't complain that they have picked up food from fridge by mistake.
