We booked this on short notice 10 minutes before we arrived and were super happy that the owner is so flexible. The accommodation was super clean and really nice. It’s right at the beach and beside a great restaurant. Everything was clean and the host was really friendly. We felt comfortable and great to stay here. The garden was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay.

At the time of our stay they were building a descent size pool. It would be nice once finished. Private and quite area. Acess to motorways to go down south or Kandy side was easy from nearest town of Piliyandala.

Couldn’t have asked for a better stay at Green Retreat Hideout. From the moment we arrived, it just felt right — quiet, spotless, and full of warmth. The place has this calm, homely feel that’s hard to come by, and it made us feel relaxed straight away. The standout? Definitely the privacy. It’s tucked away on its own bit of land, so there’s no one around — just you, the fresh air, and the peace. That sense of space made the whole experience feel extra special. You’re close enough to everything, but it still feels like your own little world. Every detail was spot on — from the comfy setup to the thoughtful touches that showed real care. You can tell it’s been put together with love, not just for looks but for actual comfort. Honestly, it was one of those rare places that actually feels better than the photos. Perfect for couples who want to switch off, slow down, and just enjoy being somewhere that feels like home — only better. We left feeling recharged and already talking about when we can come back. The apartment is very modern furnished with cozy light installations and a well equipped kitchen! We really enjoyed the sri-lankan breakfast and the owners were very helpful and friendly. Its located in a calm area, so for us (3 persons) it was the perfect place to relax, go to the beach in the morning and continue our travels.

The host was such an amazing guy, funny and couldn't do enough to help us from finding train times, to educating me about money when I tried to give him way too much. He was quick to tell me to be careful. Very genuine man. I recommend this as a place to visit if traveling around different spots. We did 1 night but would have been happy doing 2 to 3. Right on the beach front.
