First of all, I saw all the great positive reviews and thought that it might be a little too good to be true. After a few nights at Guruge's, I totally understood all the hype. It's a little bit of paradise and you'll never want to leave. He offers you a glass of juice on arrival and slowly settles you in. The bedding is clean. You get a free towel. There's a fan in the room. The bathroom is spotless and has a hot shower. He offers laundry services. You can store things in the fridge. He has really fast WiFi (he likes to point out that's it's a fibre connection). There's so much nature around the spot but you never see any creatures in the house. You can just sit on the porch for hours just relaxing. The spot is a 10 minutes walk from the main intersection. It's in a nice quiet location. I stayed in the hostel room and later switched to the double room because I had some work to do. I could only see why he has some long term guests. I left right before he started some renovations so I can't wait to see how it turns out.

A very nice and helpful lady welcomed us to the property which is in a great location only a short walk to the town centre and beach.The room was huge very well furnished and spotlessly clean with a super-sized very comfortable bed.The house is only a few months old and is beautiful we enjoyed a very good few days there and will definitely stay here again when we are in Hikkaduwa highly reccomended

Wonderful stay! The owners are super sweet and incredibly accommodating. The villa is located in a stunning spot with breathtaking views of green fields, where peacocks roam freely and birds create the perfect natural soundtrack. A truly peaceful and memorable experience. We liked everything very much. The room is comfortable , fresh , modern and good cleaned. Owner is very nice and helpful, makes delicious tea, creates welcoming atmosphere. Helped us when my husband damaged a hand , went to pharmacy and bought medicine. Offered a transfer to airport with a lower price. Location is quite good. Nearby there are beaches, shops and cafes.
