We really enjoyed the place, it’s calm and at the same time near everything (beach, city center) You can rent bicycles to go around the place and it worth it. Thanks to the family that was carring a lot about us and that we had everything we needed during our stay !

Beautiful place, in front of an entrance of the ocean. Protected from winds. The resort is amazing. Rooms are big, new and clean. You’ll get an outdoor rest room, being able to shower outside underneath the palm trees, but with all the privacy. It’s just priceless. The resort has a pool, bar, and dining area, all overlooking the lagoon. Breakfast is very good and included, being able to choose between Sri Lankan or Western. You also have a set and changing menu for dinner if you’d like to. Staff is very welcoming, kind and accomodating. It’s an amazing place to stay and relax. Totally recommend it.

Dili and Roshan and their family where treating us as their family members. We felt immediately at home at their place. We enjoyed fantastic meals prepared in their own little restaurant. Each meal was prepared with passion! The last evening we enjoyed at a festival together what was a very special moment for us to dive into Sri lankian culture. The name of this hostel truly reflects the place—it is a paradise. It’s a pity this location isn’t more frequented because it’s a fantastic spot, surrounded by coconut palms and charming huts. The owner, Malik, is an excellent host who speaks perfect English and goes out of his way to make guests feel comfortable. Since there were only four of us staying, he generously offered each of us a private room for the same price as a dormitory bed. The beds are equipped with mosquito nets, and they also provide towels, which adds to the comfort of the stay. Breakfast is included, and they offer a restaurant service for lunch and dinner. Additionally, they can arrange various activities in the area. While recent storms have damaged some facilities and the access road—possibly explaining the lower number of visitors—the place remains well-maintained, clean, and conveniently close to both the beach and Kalpitiya Dutch Fort. Day and night, this place offers the perfect tranquility to disconnect from the world and relax. The restaurant terrace has board games, books, and even a lovely cat to keep you company. I highly recommend this hostel—it’s affordable, well-managed, and offers excellent service.

Breakfast was incredible, Ruwan was so kind and provided everything we needed. He knew everything about the activities and is a devoted kite surfer.

We stayed as a couple for 11 days in this beautiful cottage 1 minute from the beach. It is so quiet and you can relax and retreat very well. There is also a whale skeleton and several beaches are within walking distance. It is also a kitesurfing paradise and there are many donkeys here. You can easily cater for yourself, but there are also several restaurants nearby. The owners are next door and are happy to help at every opportunity. We would come back any time. :-)
