Impeccable service, from the warm welcome at the entrance to the attentive staff throughout our stay. Every detail was carefully considered, making it a truly unforgettable experience. The room was nice, had a nice comfortable sleep. The attention to cleanliness and comfort exceeded my expectations. Waking up to the sounds of birds was an added luxury you get here with natural surroundings. the unobstructed mountain view from my room was a perfect setting for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway.

I'm really demanding person but I was fascinated about this place! Let's Start with location. It's situated about 10 minuts by foot from Aluthgama railway station. It's very convenient when you trevel by train like we. You shouldn't worry about noise because this hotel is on a quiet street near the river. For people who is really in nightlife there are no bars, cafes and parties around this place. Instead of this you can enjoy amazing sunsets and try water activities on the river or fly on a glider over the beach. The hotel is separated from the beach by a river so they give you a free ride to the beach by boat. The beach is sandy, wide and almost deserted. There are no cafes but I saw several sunbeds so probably it could be rented. The coast is quite flat and the ocean depth is shallow, so the place is suitable for children Guest house is pretty small (about 5-6 rooms) and doesn't have a garden where people can walk but we didn't suffer about it. Amazing and welcoming family run it. They helped us with all questions but were not intrusive. We took a river safari excursion from them and did not regret it. We saw monitor lizards, endemic monkeys, small crocodiles, bats and birds. All the time we ate only in this hotel. They provide very tasty and filling breakfasts. We were served scrambled eggs in different forms (scramble, omelet, etc.), yogurt, fruit, toast, butter and jam, juice, tea or coffee. Besides they have a wide selection of dishes in menu including grilld meet( chiken, beef, porc), sea food, noodles, rice etc. All was available and has affordable price. We stayed in family room on the first floor. It is spacious, bright, extremely clean and fully matches with photo and description. Definitely recommend this hotel and say a huge thank you to this family!

The beauty of the place was only equalled by the incredible and profound kindness of the hosts, who went above and beyond to make every single thing perfect (from our arrival at the station to the surprise juices and welcome meal, train bookings, visits & tour advice in the room and spotless cleanliness all over…). A brother and sister so hard working, attentive and sweet we will remember them fondly! The villa is absolutely gorgeous: spacious, so clean, amazing pool exposed in the sun… We had bikes that helped us go around wherever and whenever we wanted - greatly appreciated! The room/apartment itself is incredible. Bedroom with comfortable bed, intimate terrasse in the garden to have meals and drinks at, loads of space, beautiful bathroom, kitchen to allow us to make our own foods, wardrobe… The way to the beach is so lovely and wild, we greatly appreciated our walks/bike rides to get there every day.

I loved everything about Halketha. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality from Chitra, Mary and Nelumi. We were taken to our villa across a beautiful landscaped garden that also stays true to its love for the natural environment. The villa itself was perfection - perfectly decorated, clean, homely but also provided you with a sense that you were in luxury. The outdoor bathroom was a cherry on top, with a beautiful araliya tree in the middle. During our stay, we were not only treated close to family, but the quality of service was nothing like I had seen in Sri Lanka for a long time. The food was authentically Sri Lankan, with a rich yet classic taste. The property is close to mini waterfalls and great walks. This is a stay I will keep coming back to. A reminder that authentic and wholesome experiences still exist in Sri Lanka.

I had an amazing time at Lila Lodge. From the moment I arrived, I felt so welcomed by the friendly staff. The room was perfect,,spacious, clean, and the friendly staff made my stay extra special. The location was ideal for exploring, making it a perfect base for my trip. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to come back 🤗

Nice light new clean accommodation with spacious terrace and private entrance situated in a tranquil neighborhood off the main road. Good bathroom with hot shower. Large bed with an excellent mosquito net. Run by a friendly family doing their absolute best to make you having a great time. The hostess prepares excellent meals on request. If we have had time we surely would have stayed longer.

A beautiful paradise very close to the sea. Very friendly owners. Very good explanation of the area. Very good architecture. Very beautifully decorated. Very comfortable. The most beautiful place we stayed in Sri Lanka. Will definitely come back.

Unbelievable place. It is located in a big house with a nice pool area in a quiet area. We have been welcomed very nicely by our host, with a small tour of the villa and the facilities of the hotel. There is a fridge and a place where you can cook in case you don’t want to go outside. Breakfast is incredible, you can choose between continental or Sri Lankan breakfast and it is anyway very good. Guests are caring and lovely, thank you for the stay, I wish we could have stayed longer but we needed to continue our trip to Sri Lanka. Thank you for the stay.
