The room size was fine, but it didn’t have a pleasant smell. There was no kettle, no proper TV channels, and no telephone. Although the staff were very friendly, no one offered me Wi-Fi. The washroom wasn’t clean, and there were no towels. If these facilities were provided, the stay would have been much better.

Staying at Kandy Living Home Stay was one of the most memorable parts of my trip to Sri Lanka. The home itself is beautifully designed — clean, cozy, and incredibly comfortable — with thoughtful touches that made me feel right at home. The atmosphere is peaceful, and the hosts are warm and welcoming, always ready to help or share insights about the area. One of the absolute highlights of my stay was the cooking class with Chef Janith. He is not only a talented chef but also a wonderful teacher. With great patience and passion, he guided us through each step of preparing a traditional Sri Lankan meal, sharing stories, tips, and local knowledge along the way. The setup was perfect, and the food we created was absolutely delicious. I left Kandy Living not just with amazing memories, but with new cooking skills, a deeper appreciation for Sri Lankan culture, and the feeling of having been truly cared for. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kandy — it’s more than just a stay; it’s a full, heartfelt experience.

We had an absolutely amazing stay! The room was clean and very comfortable. We loved the balcony and having a super delicious breakfast there enjoying the views and birds around was just so great! The location is a bit off the main city but we really enjoyed this as it wasn't so busy and the rice fields close by were a perfect place for sunset. On top of this, Sri and his family are so kind and helpful with everything! We were also able to rent a scooter which was really helpful too! We will definitely be back!

This is amazingly nice and quiet place, and one of the best guesthouses I ever been The owners are amazing people, very friendly and kind. Everyday I was enjoying tasty breakfast, room was clean, bathroom is modern and good working. View out of room is amazing and I feel really comfortable. It is placed far from Kandy, but owner provides non expensive transfer to Kandy and also tuck-tucks are available.

Suneth the owner was so lovely and kind and full of ideas of things to do in Kandy. He walked us down to the cultural dance and was always around to answer our questions. Highly recommend!!!! Also the breakfast was unreal every morning! He even kindly made us lunch to take on the train. The room was large and was an easy walk into town

Very friendly staff, they are flexible and want to help you. Arranged tuktuk, sandwiches and even sent us something we had forgotten. It's a very nice house, out of the business of Kandy. Shower was also great.

The owner is really nice, she will do everything to make your stay confortable, she used to prepare food and drinks for us. She gave us the possibility to use her kitchen and sometimes she buys some food for us to cook it. I've been traveling around asia for 8 months now, and this homestay was one my best. The location is 10 minutes walk from the main street, but the owner can help you to get a tuktuk easily. The room is really spacious and clean, the bed is really confortable. I came to stay just 1 night but I expected for 1 week I highly recommend it.
