I loved everything about Halketha. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality from Chitra, Mary and Nelumi. We were taken to our villa across a beautiful landscaped garden that also stays true to its love for the natural environment. The villa itself was perfection - perfectly decorated, clean, homely but also provided you with a sense that you were in luxury. The outdoor bathroom was a cherry on top, with a beautiful araliya tree in the middle. During our stay, we were not only treated close to family, but the quality of service was nothing like I had seen in Sri Lanka for a long time. The food was authentically Sri Lankan, with a rich yet classic taste. The property is close to mini waterfalls and great walks. This is a stay I will keep coming back to. A reminder that authentic and wholesome experiences still exist in Sri Lanka.

I'm really demanding person but I was fascinated about this place! Let's Start with location. It's situated about 10 minuts by foot from Aluthgama railway station. It's very convenient when you trevel by train like we. You shouldn't worry about noise because this hotel is on a quiet street near the river. For people who is really in nightlife there are no bars, cafes and parties around this place. Instead of this you can enjoy amazing sunsets and try water activities on the river or fly on a glider over the beach. The hotel is separated from the beach by a river so they give you a free ride to the beach by boat. The beach is sandy, wide and almost deserted. There are no cafes but I saw several sunbeds so probably it could be rented. The coast is quite flat and the ocean depth is shallow, so the place is suitable for children Guest house is pretty small (about 5-6 rooms) and doesn't have a garden where people can walk but we didn't suffer about it. Amazing and welcoming family run it. They helped us with all questions but were not intrusive. We took a river safari excursion from them and did not regret it. We saw monitor lizards, endemic monkeys, small crocodiles, bats and birds. All the time we ate only in this hotel. They provide very tasty and filling breakfasts. We were served scrambled eggs in different forms (scramble, omelet, etc.), yogurt, fruit, toast, butter and jam, juice, tea or coffee. Besides they have a wide selection of dishes in menu including grilld meet( chiken, beef, porc), sea food, noodles, rice etc. All was available and has affordable price. We stayed in family room on the first floor. It is spacious, bright, extremely clean and fully matches with photo and description. Definitely recommend this hotel and say a huge thank you to this family!

Big room equipped with kitchen (incl big fridge and gas stove), comfortable bed, tv, aircon and fan. Spotless bathroom with the best shower. Outside area with table/chairs and pool just outside the door. Genuinely friendly, help- and respectful family that owns the guesthouse. Made us feel at home immediately. They helped us with scooter rental, tuk tuk transport and all other questions that popped up during our stay. Star of the family is - of course - the dog Tio. Unbeatable price/value.

The room was amazing and soooo clean. There was AC, a warm shower, a big bed, good wifi. But the best part were the people. Such a warm family that made you feel welcome and safe! And they make the best food!

Clean and well maintained living & Bedroom.. Alone silent place. I'm planning to visit again for a couple of days. Very friendly staff. I am very happy during my stay.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious! Thank you, Anthea and Dagi, for your exceptional hospitality. As per our request, they prepared a variety of egg dishes and a fantastic English breakfast. We must specifically mention the fresh watermelon juice—it was incredibly tasty! The location is around 1.5 to 2 km away from the beach, but this was no issue as Dagi kindly arranged a free shuttle service for easy beach access. They even dropped us back at the villa after we finished our outing. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail made our stay truly enjoyable. Highly recommended! Boat ride tour is amazing. comparing with others here rates are very reasonable and friendly. please book for 2 night. cannot cover the activities with in a day.

We booked just one apartment, but there are two apartments with separate kitchens with kitchenette.WiFi was good. It was a simple cosy cottage with all the facilities you need. Working table, small garden, washing machine and modern furniture included.The most important thing is the location.Few steps to the Moragolla beach through a shadow lane with trees.(near the Palms Hotel). The Villa is not much expensive like at beach front. You will feel relax at seascape for a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Absolutely perfect stay! This villa is hands down the cleanest place we’ve stayed in all of Sri Lanka. Every day, a lovely lady would come by to make sure everything was spotless, and it really showed in the attention to detail. The villa felt like a hidden gem, offering total privacy, and the private pool was a fantastic feature. The owner was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the start. This place truly exceeded our expectations in every way—would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious retreat!
