During my trip to Polonnaruwa, my car broke down in Habarana, forcing me to stay overnight. I booked a room at Gabaa Resort, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience despite the unexpected situation. The staff were incredibly kind and went out of their way to help me find a reliable garage and get my car fixed promptly. The room was clean and comfortable, providing much-needed relaxation. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious, exceeding my expectations. Though my stay was brief, the exceptional service and hospitality left a lasting impression. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

Our stay at Swan Lake Habarana was fantastic. Kalhara was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond—organizing a cultural evening, a great safari trip, and arranging tuk-tuks at fair prices. He helped with everything before, during, and after our stay. The guesthouse was clean, comfortable, and surrounded by nature. The breakfast was also very good! Highly recommended!

This place was the perfect retreat for 4 nights. Quiet and comfortable, the location was lovely. The hosts were absolutely amazing and the included breakfast was delightful. We chose to have dinner 4 nights in a row, choosing their vegetarian rice & curry as it was both delicious and very affordable compared to other restaurants in the area. The hosts were lovely, helpful, and always quick to respond to any of our questions, including arranging an early morning tuktuk for us. The wifi was functional for basic searches, but we recommend having some books to read to truly indulge in the experience. We definitely recommend staying here!

The place is a little piece of heaven in dusty Sigiriya. Staff are friendly and hard working, the pool is huge and delicious and the rooms are big. They make good food at the place and catered to our vegan food request perfectly! The WiFi is also fast, so it’s great!

This was one of our favorite stays in the entire Sri Lanka. The view was beautiful, the owners was extremely kind, nothing is too much to ask for them and they go out of their way to make sure you are happy! The location is perfect and we loved walking all around the village, to the lake where you can swim, and among the rice fields!!! Great Wifi too - we both work online so good wifi is important to us, we enjoyed working from the porch with a beautiful view! We also did a cooking class there which I can highly recommend! I actually miss this place so much and will never forget it! Thank you so much!
