We had an amazing time at the camp. Staff was incredibly welcoming and helped a lot already with planning the whole trip, including arranging pickup and drop off after the stay and arranging a safari day trip. They were very flexible especially regarding our kids wishes and changes in plan from our side. We all loved it and will definitely come back again.

Yala Jungle Haven, as its name imply, is quite a haven in the jungle. It is quite literally next to Yala National Park. So, the jungle hut is rustic, and my room have seen visitations from many frogs and geckos. You will hear many bird calls early in the morning, which is wonderful if you are into birding. But the best part is the owner Thushara, who is also a safari driver+guide. So if you book this accom, go with their safari! He is very experienced as evident in his driving and wildlife spotting skills. We had THREE (3) sightings of leopards and even a sloth bear! While wildlife sightings need the element of luck, one of the sighting of the leopard was initially spotted by him, so yes our vehicle was the first on the encounter. The sloth bear too. Needless to say, I had one of the best safari experience ever. Oh, their homecooked dinner is authentic curry & rice cooked by Thushara's parents :)

This is a very wild house. Very kind owner. Do not expect a wifi. Rooms are nice, clean, with animals in it (gheco). Meals are very good, owner is a good chef.

Where do I begin... What an experience! We were picked up exactly at the time they said by the great jeep that already put us in the safari mood. We were expexting a nice tent but were blown away by the size of the tent and how comfortable it was. The dinner was nice as was the lunch the next day, but we didn´t come for food. THE BEST things were the night walk (scary!!!!) and the safari tour the next day and we had a great guide, Jelo, who made it extra fun and informative. Great sense of humor and an all round great guy! We saw the leopard! And monkeys, water buffalos, crocodiles, the list is long. The scenery took our breath away. Everything ran like clock work, very professional and friendly.

Lovely staff, beautiful property and the rooms are stunning. Very comfortable and homely in the rooms. We appreciated the staffs attentiveness and they really wanted us to enjoy our stay. They also organised a safari for us at Yala and the location of the villa is great for that!

A well deserved 10/10. The Den at Yala is a beautiful property with lots of character. The rooms were so clean and spacious. The location is superb close to national park entrance especially if early morning start. Surrounded by nature so you feel when you arrive relaxed. The meals were delicious. Gabrielle and Sanjana the couple who own and run the property were super friendly organised a safari for us. They made our family trip to Sri Lanka very special. Huge thank you from the Hogan family.
