Mohamed is a great host. We walked from Imlil to be greeted by him outside his cafe at the edge of the village. He gave us tea and made a delicious tagine before we headed to the property. The property was very clean with a nice warm shower. Mohammed was a great host and would sit and laugh with us for hours. We decided to stay a second night as we enjoyed his company and the property so much. He cooked a great breakfast and gave us some snacks for our day of walking. On the second night he took us down into another village in the valley that you probably wouldn’t visit to have tea with his friend. The place is magnificently located and decorated, the staff is very friendly and helpful. That while also being fairly priced, I wouldn't know what to ask for more.

I mistakenly booked the wrong dates for this accommodation. A refund was not possible, but our host offered us the dates we wanted to stay at no extra charge. He was true to his word! Oukaimeden is a beautiful place. Our host, Rachid, was exceptionally helpful during our short stay. The Gite was basic, but comfortable, and had better WiFi than anywhere we stayed in Morocco this year. Breakfast was good, and Rachid has a small restaurant a few minutes walk away from the Gite where a lovely tagine for dinner is available.

We had such a lovely time at this family guest house in Imlil! Our hosts were incredibly attentive and provided us with wonderful Moroccan breakfasts and dinners. They also helped us book a guide for a hike up to the base camp of Toubkal, who did a wonderful job. After a day of hiking, the hot shower was much appreciated. I would highly recommend considering Amazigh Family Riad for your stay!

The overnight stay was characterized by Mustapha's friendliness. Here, outstanding hospitality meets a European understanding of privacy. Mustapha's cooking skills complete the whole experience and make it uniquely good! The only point to keep in mind is that you are in the Atlas Mountains so warm clothing is highly recommended as even the rooms can get a bit chilly at night.

Dar Zohra was an absolutely unexpected oasis of beauty and relaxation. The pictures look great, but they don’t capture the utter tranquility of the space. Every single detail of the construction/design of this guesthouse has been chosen with care. The rugs in the common area are stunning. The food is fabulous, and the staff make you feel so at home. It is truly an unpretentious luxury. We spent the first day gently hiking in/around the river just below the guesthouse, and the second day in the more famous Setti Fatma. If I found so it again, I would have just stayed by the river below- it is out of a picture book, with almost nobody else around. A big thanks to the team at Dar Zohra, I cannot wait to return! ❤️
