recently had the pleasure of staying at Wild Planet Eco Retreat in Bardia National Park, and it was an unforgettable experience. If you would like to stay in a true Nepali homestay, Nanu and Kali’s place is amazing. They offer a very pure, yet comfortable experience. They have two rooms for rent, and live on the property themselves. Nanu will be able to guide you on hiking safari’s as well for a good price. Apart from that the food is amazing. :) Would 100% recommend anybody looking for a Nepali experience to go here!

A beautiful place! The garden is lovely and the rooms look great. We were in the jungle with the owner, Papu, for many days. He is a very skilled guide with excellent English, who doesn't only have a lot of knowledge of the animals and plants, but also cares about safety and the wellbeing of the animals we observed. We were very lucky to even see two tigers on different days with him. I really appreciated his knowledge of birds too. Very happy to have had you as our guide Papu!

Mukti and his family were really welcoming and provided us with all information and delicious food. The room was nice and we especially enjoyed the warm blankets at cold night temperatures in January. Mukti and his family are very caring and they are always ready to help. In addition, Mukti offers various kind of safari options in Bardiya National Park which we very much enjoyed. All in all it was an amazing experience and a great decision to stay here.

Namaste Bardiya Resort is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Bhurkīā, where guests can make the most of its garden and bar.

Lovely authentic and green place with cottages. The houses are spacious and clean. Can't wish for a more friendly and helpful staff! The host Krishna helped us with anything we wanted, from the excursions, visiting a treehouse, the park and having up to date information about the buses. The balcony of the main building has a beautiful view on the park and river. From here you can enjoy the nature, spot the elephants, monkeys and crocodiles. Moreover, the freshly cooked breakfasts and dinner were a delight, which made it a very relaxing stay.

The room was large and comfortable with a veranda to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful garden. The garden was lovely and so relaxing, full of flowers, plants and butterflies. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and even included us in their family Tihar celebrations. We really enjoyed the safaris and saw a tiger!

Mr. B's Place has free bikes, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Bhurkīā. There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service.

Family run place, very friendly and welcoming, very good service and food, always available for extra requests and questions, knowledgeable guides and I can recommend the wildlife trekking on foot. They all made me feel like home, thank you Mr and Mrs B, family and staff for a wonderful holiday.

We had an amazing 5 days at Jungle base camp. Hukum could not do enough to make your our stay special. The enthusiasm from him and the rest of the Bardia team was incredible. Great value for money would highly recommend.

Bardia Kingfisher Resort is located in Dhakela, 500 metres from Bardia National Park. Free WiFi access is available in this resort. The accommodation will provide you with a patio and a seating area.

Everything was brilliant, from the guided hikes to the help to sort bus travel and more. On the hikes my guide Mahendra went way above what any of the others did to try and spot wildlife but in a eco friendly way. The owner and his wife were very kind and treated me like part of the family. To visit here also take the bus from Kathmandu, it’s an adventure in itself.
