It was an incredible beyond any expectations experience !! My sons and I were welcomed like family into the community from the first day. We highly recommend this resort as a place to rest for a while, for those who truly wish to connect spiritually and experience what loving community in action means. Our every need was taken care of with kindness and respect and ease. This is a very special, unique place for nature lovers, artists, spiritual seekers and conscious eco friendly travellers. The food is grown in their organic vegetable gardens, the milk we drank was fresh from the cows and the people who run the resort are an extraordinary family. I cannot recommend this place more for those travellers who are seeking the real Nepal, the real spirituality and the real food. Thank you Joy resort, the name says it all !! We will be back every year if we can !!! An inspiration for us all !!

I found this hotel to be a great choice for budget travelers. The room was clean and the mattress was exceptionally comfortable, making for a restful stay. The bathroom was also spotless, with a strong and reliable hot shower. The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I return to Kathmandu.

I stayed here for one night (24–25 July) and everything exceeded my expectations. The owner was incredibly warm and helpful, making the atmosphere feel truly like a second home. The facilities were well-maintained, the place was spotless, and the room was very comfortable. It’s in a great location, and for the price, it offers amazing value. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Kathmandu! And I was even provided with transportation as needed. Kudos to Mr. Deepak for managing things in simple but efficient way!!

It's a hidden gem in centre of Kathmandu. The bedding is super clean, and beds are comfort, room is spacious with a big locker, it fits in my big backpack and everything else. The stuff are super friendly, the location is righ in the city centre, walking distance to everywhere. did I mention there are three bathrooms in 6 beds female dorm? It's like 5 star hotel. I did not expect this much for the price I paid. another bonus: free refill water. I will give it 11 if possible. Keep up good work!

Overall this was a good hotel, as I expected. So I am giving them 10 out of 10 as per my expectations. I have no complaints, but at the same time do not feel anything stood out as being overly impressive. Staff were fine, but only did what was required, they were personable but not terribly interested in what you were up to, I had experienced far, far higher levels of friendly and personalized service at other places. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, so unsure what this is like. My standard room was quite compact, but not sure how this size compares to rest of Kathmandu. The hotel location was good, only a short walk to everything.
