Spotless, well appointed rooms & kitchen. Off the road, but in the center of town and adjacent to a town trail. A small grocery was across the street when we wanted to cook in. Their sweet tempered dog (quiet and always fenced in away from the rooms) was eager for belly rubs and a game of toss when we approached him.

Our stay was absolutely brilliant. Amazing location. Peaceful and stunningly beautiful. Helpful and friendly owners Chris and Barb were a pleasure to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble. Would certainly highly recommend.

Friendly staff, everything is clean and cozy, good atmosphere, early check in. Great location. There are 2 cute parrots. Also,in the evening there is free dessert which is made by the owner-both nights they were delicious. Unfortunately, forgot to ask recipes. I would say that this is one of the best hostels I stayed in NZ.

Great clean place with good wifi and a well-equipped kitchen. Jason is a friendly host and he was extremely helpful with a small medical issue I had. I was only there one night but wished I could have stayed longer. Highly recommend !
