Susana was an amazing host, and little Arya too! They both warmly welcomed us with a wide smile, alongside some cute gifts, a cool Praxis beer and many treats for our dog... and a puppy bed that served as a soft pillow. It's not easy to find amazing stays that are truly pet-friendly as well. Location-wise, it's walking distance from Coimbra's downtown though it might still be better to use a car since it's a bit of a climb. There's a supermarket, a few cafés, and most points-of-interest south-west of the river close-by. The room has it own entrance and a small patio, which is convenient (Susana lived upstairs), and it was very cozy and well decorated. While it does not have a kitchenet per-se, it actually felt more like an apartment, and would be great for shorter stays or those looking to eat out more often (the city has tons of great restaurants). The microwave and coffee-maker should fulfill most needs.

    Our two rooms were interconnecting which was convenient. Being a pet friendly hotel, our dog was welcome. The breakfast buffet was very good, and included gluten free bread and biscuits. Although the underground car park was too low for our car with roof box, we were easily able to park on the street nearby. Service was friendly and helpful, and I can recommend this hotel for a stay in Coimbra.

    Good location. Good size room/ bathroom. Comfortable bed. Provided a dog bed and bowls. Parking is a bonus. There is a coffee shop with outdoor space and the food looked good. You can sit there if you have a dog. A simple breakfast is served in the coffee shop. Didnt get the chance to try breakfast in the hotel as you can't take your dog in public areas. Reasonably priced room service.
