My family loved staying here. It is bio-friendly and a great way to experience the forest. The official park is a few meters away, so that you can see most of the park around the hotel. Walking around the property at night and hanging out during the day, you'll see incredible wildlife and fauna. We saw bush babies a few meters from our room. The monkeys tend to come in the afternoon. It is an eco-lodge, like staying at a campsite with amenities and clean cabins. If you are looking for a complete nature experience, this is perfect for you--if you need to be pampered, it's not the place for you. The restaurant is excellent. Anyone visiting the park should ask their driver or tour company to include lunch there. They have a lovely porch where you can hang out or have meals. If you have a late lunch, you'll probably see the monkeys.

Perfect stay in Mem Luxury Hotel, our best hotel in Zanzibar so far ! The room is nice, large and clean with hot shower and the wifi is working ! The staff is just amazing, really nice people always here to help and to assist you ! In a world where tourism is full of large hotel chains, finding a boutique hotel like Hekaya is beyond delightful. Only 5 rooms all oceanfront on an amazing beach which has an awesome sand bar which you can walk out on for half a kilometre. Service level is 11/10 as the staff is very professional, super helpful and friendly! They really helped me out when my airport taxi didn’t show up. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful wonderful wonderful. Simple and stylish like Paola who owns and runs it. Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights here could have stayed longer. Nice swimming pools not all that big but beautiful.
