United StatesI was travelling cross-country with two cats. It can be difficult to find motels that will take pets, and I'm used to being charged fees or putting up with mediocre accommodations. Neither of those things happened here. I asked the staff at the desk for a room on the ground floor with parking near the door, so that I could easily transfer the cats from the car, and was given the perfect room with a door a couple of yards from the parking lot. The next morning, when I was packing to leave, one of the cats got out and managed to wedge himself behind one of the industrial washing machines. Again, the staff were very helpful and supportive, and left me alone in the washroom to retrieve him. The room itself was clean and comfortable, exactly what I expect from Motel 6, but the staff made this the best Motel 6 ever.
