The host communicated well. We had a nice quiet bbq and a dip in the pool. The rooms were comfortable in this charming property. We cooked our own meals easily, and odered in other nights.. The security system was top notch in this quiet part of Kempton Park.

The location is safe. Food was great. The place was home away from home. Staff was warm and welcoming. They went out of their way to drop and pick me to and from the conference venue. My bank card declined but they understood and let me stay, I paid on my way to the airport….. just that they trusted a stranger was such a sweet gesture. I will recommend Elsje to anyone because it’s more of a home than a lodge

The place is a nice getaway from the noisy airport but a reasonable time from the airport as well. Shuttle service was superb, the food was great and the lovely stuff made my stay very comfortable. I would surely book my stay here again.

    We have stayed at this property several times. It's a great place to stay for picking up and dropping off visitors at OR Tambo. We like the unique nature of the decor and the grounds. The staff were very helpful and attentive, even offering us better rooms so we didn't have to negotiate stairs with our dogs. Oh, yes. It's pet friendly!

    Spacious room, not too thick blankets. We slept well. Reception staff was very competent and friendly. Late arrival up to 11pm is no problem. Location is great if you have a early flight the next day. Good system for breakfast (you choose before what you want) but it's only English breakfast and some cereal on offer. Lots of space to park, you can even park directly infront of your room - very convenient.

    The huge bookshelf with a range of genres. I ended up spending the day in my room reading 3 books. It was a joy. Many cute little puppies and cats around to play with if you are into pets.
